BACKGROUND

We are a Charter Standard Community Football club that prides itself in offering quality football coaching to children of all age group’s, genders and backgrounds. “Football for all “is at the centre of our efforts. All our coaches are qualified from Level 1 right up to UEFA B license; this means we can offer a high standard of coaching to all our players in an environment that is focused on long term player development and enjoyment of the game.

Highworth Town Juniors was officially formed in 2008 following the merger of two Highworth clubs, Highworth Town and Highworth Juniors to form the new club.

Since those first kick offs the club has grown significantly and at the start of the 2010/2011 season the club was supporting the running of 25 Boys teams, and 5 Girls teams, with the clubs main aim being to provide football and enjoyment for all in a safe and friendly environment.

Children can join our club from as young as 4 and 5 years of age by coming along to our Saturday morning club which is run by our qualified coaches. From the age of 6, we look to prepare the children in getting them ready for playing team football at U7’s.

HTJFC has teams running from under 7’s right through to under 17/18’s.

At the age of 16/17 they move onto our senior section at Highworth Town, where they become part of the youth team setup, this gives them the opportunity for progression into senior football.

In 2011 we had our first ever Ladies team, giving the same progression steps for the girls to move into senior football.

The junior section of the club is a registered charity (ref: 1085842) in recognition of our aim to support the advancement of education of young people in the Highworth and surrounding areas.

We achieved our Charter Standard Community Football Club status in November 2010 and in April 2011 we will be officially presented with the FA Community Club award, one of the few clubs in Wiltshire to have achieved this status.

As a club we work hard developing our coaches to ensure the best coaching is given to the children, all coaches must hold a minimum level 1 coaching certificate, with several now holding level 2 coaching certificates. We are also proud that a few coaches hold UEFA B certificates and beyond.

With some exciting plans in place for the future, we sincerely hope that you will continue to enjoy your time with us. If you are not currently involved with the club then we would love to welcome you on board.

If you, your son or your daughter are interested in becoming part of our thriving club then please do contact us.

Thanks for looking and we hope to see you playing for, or supporting a HTJFC team soon.
